어릴때부터 여행을 참 좋아했다. 이 곡은 아버지와 방학때마다 시골을 내려가던 길에 들었던 음악들과 그 때 느꼈던 기분들을 추억하는 곡이다. 그 당시에는 길이 잘 닦여있지 않아서 7시간, 8시간씩 걸리던 그 여행들이 지금은 참 아련한 추억으로 남아있다. 차가 막히는 시간을 피해서 저녁에 출발하곤 했는데, 저녁의 고속도로를 달리는 차 안의 풍경들과 그 때 꼬마 el.군의 추억을 기억하면서 2002년에 만들었던 곡이다. 올해 여름에 남원을 다녀오는 길에 찍었던 동영상을 입혀봤다.

요즘 완전 빠져있는 노래 첫번째, 사실 이 노래는 어제 처음 들었다. Beyonce의 새로운 싱글 앨범인 "If I were a boy"를 통해 소개된 곡이다. 이 곡은 2008년 11월18일에 발매될 beyonce의 새 앨범인 "I Am...Sasha Fierce"에 수록되어있는 곡이다. 아시는 분은 아시겠지만, 워낙 Beyonce의 '열렬한'팬인 el.군이기에 이 노래는 더더욱 사랑스러울 수 밖에 없다고 해야 할까. 하지만 정말 이 곡은 가슴 한 곳을 찡하게 만드는 곡이다. 처음 멜론 플레이어에서 가사를 보면서 이 노래를 들었는데, 뭐랄까 가슴 아픈 추억같은 찡한 저려옴은.. 이 노래는 가사, 음악, 뮤직 비디오까지 너무나도 나를 한 번에 사로 잡아버린 음악이다. 그리고 역시 가사의 내용이라는게 노래에 얼마나 큰 영향을 미치는지 다시 한 번 확인시켜주기도 했다. 한편으론 이 노래를 계속 반복해 들으면서 나 역시 옛날 추억속의 언젠가 그 누군가에게 이런 아픔을 주지는 않았을까라는 생각을 하게 되기도 했다.
몇 번이고 음악을 다시 들으면서 생각에 빠져있다가 뮤직 비디오를 찾아서 보게 되었는데, 뮤직 비디오 역시 감동적이었다는.. 어디서 이렇게 신선한 아이디어들이 나오는지... 참 간단하면서도 이렇게 사람의 마음을 움직일 수 있는게 음악이라는 생각에 또 한 번 감명을 받기도 했다. 뮤직 비디오의 뒷부분에서 남과 여의 말다툼에서 현실로 돌아오는 순간, 가사의 전반적인 의미가 한 번에 깊고 크게 전달 된다. 꼭 느껴볼 수 있기를 바란다.

이 노래는 이번 주 초에 처음 듣게 되었는데, 처음 들었을때 보다 2,3번 들으면서 완전 빠져든 노래. 들으면 들을수록 매력적인 멜로디 라인이 귀에서 맴돈다. 지난 9월에 발매된 Pussycat Dolls의 "Doll Domination" 앨범에 수록된 곡이다.
아쉽게도 공식 뮤직 비디오는 없다.
